In pratica

The temptation is understandable: few reviews, or ones that are months old, and the idea of generating a batch quickly to push the score up. It's also the riskiest path. Reviews that aren't genuine, or written without disclosing the commercial interest of whoever posts them, can lead to bulk removal and penalties on the profile — the exact opposite of what was intended.

Why the shortcut doesn't work

Google recognises similar text patterns across different profiles, unnatural posting timing, and reviews written by someone with a direct interest in the product being reviewed without disclosing it. The result isn't just that the tactic fails — it's a real risk to the venue's listing.

What actually works

  • Ask at the right moment — right after a customer has expressed satisfaction, not with a generic sign at the till
  • Make the action immediate — a QR code that goes straight to the review page, with no search step in between
  • Reply to every review, including negative ones — it's itself a positive signal for the algorithm
  • Let the customer write it themselves — no suggested or pre-filled text that mimics a genuine review

In practice

The difference between a system that works and a risky one isn't the technology used, but the moment and manner in which feedback is requested. Automating the request at the right time, after a genuinely lived experience, is the part that can and should be systematised.

Pronto One's Reviews module asks for feedback at the right moment, within the rules.
